일러스트레이터 소개
브라이언 컬리어는 어릴 때부터 그림에 관심이 많았다. 처음 읽은 그림책으로 기억에 남는 것은 흑인 아이들의 삶을 주로 그림에 담은 작고한 에즈러 잭 키츠의 『눈 오는 날』과 크로켓 존슨의 ‘해럴드’ 시리즈를 꼽고 있다. 콜라주 작업을 주로 하여 전시회도 여러 차례 연 바 있고, 책 그림 대표작으로는 『로자』 『존의 비밀 꿈 : 존 레논의 삶』, 『마틴 루터 킹』 들이 있다.
