일러스트레이터 소개
건축가이자 일러스트레이터로 여러 나라에서 책을 출간하였다. 포르투갈 리스본 출신으로 런던으로 이주하여 건축가로 활동하다가 본래의 꿈이었던 일러스트레이터로 전업하였다. 이후 약 20여 년 가까이 광고, 아동 도서 일러스트레이션 작업을 하고 있으며 다수의 수상 경력을 가지고 있다.
Gonçalo Viana was born in Lisbon, a retro European town famed for its bright light and custard tarts. He studied architecture and moved to London, where he worked at a practice for a few years. Illustration had always been his first love though, and back to Lisbon he left architecture and soon started work as a freelance illustrator. Geometry did find a way to seep back in, providing a framework for his concepts, strong colors and textures.
