About the Author
Mick Jackson is an award-winning novelist and screenwriter from Lancashire, UK. His first novel The Underground Man was shortlisted for the Booker Prize. He was appointed writer-in-residence at the Science Museum in 2011, and has recently started writing for children.
John Broadley is the illustrator of While You’re Sleeping and We’re Going Places. His work, mostly created using pen and ink and collage, appears in several historical and cookery titles, as well as magazines including the Spectator, The New Yorker and the New York Review of Books. John has also worked with retailers and restaurants, including Fortnum & Mason, The Fine Cheese Company, Liberty London, Berry Bros & Rudd and Quo Vadis.
일러스트레이터 소개
존 브로들리는 1990년 중반부터 출판과 일러스트레이션 분야에서 활발하게 작업해 온 작가이다. 펜과 잉크를 쓴 작품이 많고 콜라주 작업도 자주 해왔다. 영국 런던 시내에 있는 레스토랑을 장식하는 그림을 그리기도 했고, 포트넘 앤 메이슨과 같은 영국의 홍차 회사와 함께 일하면서 찻잔이나 포장 용기에 멋진 그림을 그리기도 했다. [뉴욕 타임스], 잡지, 요리책, 역사책 등에도 그림을 그렸다. 『우리가 잠든 사이에』 는 그의 첫 번째 그림책이다.
