1982년 사이타마 현에서 태어나 무사시노미술대학 시각디자인과를 졸업했다. 재학 중에 「닛산 동화와 그림책 그랑프리」에서 우수상을 받았다. 졸업 후, 목탄화와 콜라주, 애니메이션 등 다양한 기법을 사용하여 계속 작품 활동을 하여, 개인전과 그룹전을 통해 발표하였다. 2009년에 첫 책 『태풍이 온다』를 출간했으며. 이 책 『심부름 가는 길에』가 두 번째 책이다. 현재 도쿄에 살고 있다.
