책 내용

PreSchool-Grade 1-A little girl awakens to find her surroundings soaked with rain. A glance outside the window reveals \"...wet trees wet leaves wet grass.\" After breakfast, the child dresses for her entrance into the \"wet world.\" Her day includes such activities as watching \"Windshield wipers wipe the wet...\" and splashing through puddles, and then she returns home, where everything is warm, from the stove to her parents" good-night kisses. She drifts off to sleep wondering what the world will be like tomorrow. The poetic text aptly and alliteratively moves through the youngster"s day with a simplicity appropriate for beginning readers. The watercolor illustrations reflect the rainy weather. Bright colors indoors make quite a contrast to the grayness outside, and lend a feeling of coziness comforting to young children. A useful addition for units dealing with weather, or simply as a rainy-day read-aloud.
