엘리스-마틴 프로벤슨(Alice·Martin Provensen)
앨리스와 남편 마틴 프로벤슨은 1944년에 결혼한 뒤 함께 수많은 걸작 그림책들을 만들었습니다. 이들은 미국일러스트레이터협회 선정 금메달을 받았으며, '뉴욕타임즈 올해의 10대 그림책'에 아홉 차례나 올랐습니다. 1982년에 이 책 『위대한 비행』으로 칼데콧 상을 수상했으며, 1984년에는 『윌리엄 블레이크 주막 찾아가기』로 뉴베리 상과 칼데콧 영예상을 수상했습니다.
